Fessor Hurst and His Windy Wizzards

Experience live jazz, ragtime, and blues at Let It Be with ’Fessor Hurst and His Windy Hill Wizzards Ragtime and Jazz Orchestra. Led by trumpeter Dr. Craig Hurst, this seven-piece ensemble brings the sounds of the Jazz Age to life with trumpet, clarinet, trombone, tuba, guitar, piano, and drums.

Performing music by early jazz and ragtime pioneers including King Oliver, Jelly Roll Morton, Eubie Blake, and Scott Joplin, the Windy Hill Wizzards take listeners from earthy blues to the polished sounds of vintage speakeasies. Join us for an evening celebrating the rhythm, character, and charm of early jazz.
