Join Wisconsin jazz pianist Scott A. Schmidt for an evening of timeless jazz standards from the Great American Songbook at Let It Be in Waukesha.

Scott began playing piano at age nine in Delavan, Wisconsin, and discovered his passion for jazz while performing with his high school jazz band. His musical journey eventually brought him to Milwaukee, where he studied with accomplished jazz pianists and began performing throughout southeastern Wisconsin.

Over the years, Scott has performed live jazz piano at notable Wisconsin venues including The American Club in Kohler, the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Pfister Hotel, Ozaukee Country Club and venues throughout the Milwaukee and Waukesha area.

For this special evening of live jazz in Waukesha, Scott will bring his own jazz sensibility to beloved songs from the Great American Songbook—the timeless music of some of America’s greatest composers and songwriters.

Expect beautiful melodies, sophisticated jazz piano, swinging rhythms and classic American songs in an intimate setting that’s perfect for dinner, drinks and live music in Waukesha.

Scott has also been teaching piano since 2008, including jazz and improvisation, and released his newest album, Scatter The Darkness, in April 2026.
