Bill Armstrong – Solo Acoustic Americana
Bill Armstrong is a Wisconsin-based singer-songwriter whose music brings together the storytelling of Americana and folk music with the soulful traditions of blues, country blues, and classic American roots music.
His repertoire includes everything from traditional favorites like Wayfaring Stranger and St. James Infirmary to jazz standards such as Georgia on My Mind and Summertime, along with original songs that showcase his gift for melody, thoughtful lyrics, and storytelling.
Bill believes that great melodies and meaningful lyrics stand the test of time, and that philosophy comes through in every performance. Whether delivering a stripped-down acoustic original or putting his own interpretation on a familiar classic, his music is authentic, intimate, and unmistakably rooted in the American musical tradition.
Based in Elm Grove, Wisconsin and Durango, Colorado, Bill performs as a solo artist as well as with the Blue Waters Blues Duo. He also plays Dobro, mandolin, and bass, adding even more depth to his already diverse musical palette.
