How to Set the Mood with Essential Oils

How to Set the Mood with Essential Oils
I recently had the honor to participate in an Facebook virtual event called LoveSpace. The conference had experts speaking on the topic of love and relationships hosted by Christina Abad, a relationship coach and expert.
In our session, we discussed how essential oils can boost confidence and set the mood no matter your relationship status. I thought I would bring you the highlights in this week's blog post.
Setting the mood starts with you.
- Be confident.
- Know who you are. It’s a process and there are always new levels to explore!
- Know you’re worthy of it all. You can have a career and a personal life something I didn’t always think was possible.
Be present to what matters most in your life.
- To switch work mode off so that you can be present. Here’s a ritual:
- Grab your favorite calming essential oil or blend.
- Inhale the oil and exhale.
- Say the following out loud: “I release and surrender this work day as I
- transition into an enjoyable evening with those I love.”
- Inhale the oil and exhale.
- Repeat as needed.
11 Essential Oils that can set the mood for a romantic evening
- Rose: It's a great balancer, opens up the heart and we can’t have a chat on setting the mood without roses. Buy yourself some too!
- Lavender: It's great for all skin types, reduces stress and promotes relaxation.
-
Ylang Ylang: In my opinion, a little goes a long way with this one. Some people find it relaxing and
stimulating. I love to blend this with Benzoin, Sandalwood or Vanilla to tone it down. - Jasmine: This oil has been used for centuries and is known for increasing confidence.
- Patchouli: It's one you either love or hate. The 70’s are known for this oil and is definitely an aphrodisiac as well. Wood stock anyone?
- Neroli: This oil boosts confidence and brings positive energy. All things you want when setting the mood. This oil smells exotic to me and is one of my favorites!
- Clary Sage: This oil is comforting, promotes relaxation and enhances dreams.
- Ginger: This oil is a stimulant, brings warmth and a not-so-well-known aphrodisiac.
- Sandalwood: This oil is one of my top 3 favorites. It brings a sense of peaceful relaxation and is very grounding.
- Orange: It's known for being stimulating, relaxing and uplifting
- Vanilla: This oil is grounding, pleasant and soothing. Always reminds me of baking in the kitchen with my mom and grandmother.
I recommend using in a diffuser or creating your pillow spray. If you use essential oils topically, always dilute them with a carrier or base oil such as argon, jojoba, coconut, apricot or sweet almond.
