The Benefits and Uses of Peppermint Essential Oil
Peppermint is one of the oldest and most highly regarded herbs for soothing digestive issues, like indigestion and heartburn. This is one reason why restaurants have a bowl full when you leave. Unfortunately, the true benefits of peppermint are lost with the added chemicals and sugar used to make those yummy hard candies.
Did you know this wonderful oil could also be used on fevers, headaches, congestion, allergies, arthritis and sore muscles?
There are so many uses for peppermint essential oil in your everyday life.
It's refreshing and stimulating with a comforting side effect. I love drinking Traditional Medicinals Organic Peppermint Tea. It's my go-to tea and really aids in digestion.
When combined with lavender, peppermint can help keep the cold and flu germs away.
My favorite combination especially if dealing with allergies is diffusing 5 drops of lavender, 3 drops of lemon, 2-3 drops of peppermint essential oil.
You can play it - go where your nose takes you!
Another reason I love peppermint essential oil is it has the ability to keep me alert and focused, which is why you will often find me diffusing peppermint when I'm working.
It's one reason why I included it in my Festive blend.
If we are open to it, God and Mother Nature has given us a lot of different tools to help us with our daily needs.
One such tool to help us in our journey of healing is aromatherapy using essential oils. I love bringing the outdoor vibes of nature inside and I highly recommend incorporating these into your day-to-day lives.
Bottom line I love essential oils and anything peppermint!
I want to hear from you though. Do you use essential oils? If so, what’s your favorite?
